Registered Nurse Progressive Care

Del Sol Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care unit. In this role, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. You will provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care while serving as an advocate for patients to support an exceptional patient experience.

Clinical Setting

Del Sol Medical Center is a full-service, acute-care hospital in east El Paso, Texas with a Level II trauma designation and over 300 patient beds. Our services include emergency care, cardiac care, women's services, Level III NICU, rehabilitation, a bariatric clinic, and a Minimally Invasive Surgery Center.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• One year of nursing experience
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, to be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
