McLeod Oncology & Hematology is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) to provide clinical support in an outpatient oncology and hematology setting. This role focuses on patient care, clinical workflow management, and procedural support in a dynamic office environment.
Responsibilities
- Foster an environment that demonstrates care, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, visitors, and co-workers
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of all medical equipment in the office
- Adhere to procedural checklists for administering all immunizations and injections
- Ensure that all examination rooms are clean and fully stocked with supplies, including replacing any expired supplies
- Call patients from the waiting area using appropriate title and last name to a clean, well-stocked examination room
- Obtain and accurately document vital signs and confirm chief complaint
- Triage and perform in-house diagnostic testing according to orders
- Manage patient workflow in the clinical area
- Provide support and assistance as needed to patients, nurses, physicians, and other staff
- Participate proactively in problem solving and process improvement activities through collaboration with clinical teams using Evidence Based Practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Licenses and Certifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire
