CarePartners Health Services is seeking Registered Nurses for a PRN position in Home Health serving the Brevard area. This role is part of the HCA Healthcare Residency Program, a paid, year-long program designed to support the transition from nursing student to practicing registered nurse through structured clinical training, mentorship, and professional development.
Clinical Setting
You will provide home health nursing services to patients in western North Carolina as part of CarePartners Health Services, which operates a full continuum of post-acute care including rehabilitation, hospice, palliative care, and other specialty services.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
- Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for therapeutic response
- Notify providers and intervene appropriately in the event of unintended medication responses
- Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate patient needs proactively
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures
- Translate complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding
- Serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers
Residency Program Components
The HCA Healthcare Residency Program provides:
- Advanced clinical training in a specialty area

Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse status in North Carolina
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 1 year of employment
- No previous nursing experience required
