Join our surgical team as a Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse in a fast-paced outpatient environment. You will provide hands-on clinical care to patients before and after surgery, guiding them through each stage of their surgical journey while maintaining a healthy work-life balance with no nights, weekends, or on-call requirements.

Clinical Setting

This is an outpatient surgical center with a close-knit, supportive team environment that emphasizes collaboration and cross-training opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients
  • Monitor patients recovering from general, regional, or local anesthesia
  • Obtain and document complete nursing histories and assessments
  • Closely monitor vital signs and patient status, identifying and reporting any changes
  • Administer medications safely and accurately
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and care team members
  • Supervise and support non-licensed clinical staff as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation in medical records
  • Follow all nursing standards, state regulations, and center policies

Schedule

  • No on-call requirements
  • No nights or weekends

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • One or more years of PACU, pre-op, or perioperative experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • PALS certification
  • CNOR certification
