This nationally recognized leader in pediatric cardiac care is seeking a compassionate nurse to provide specialized care to children with congenital and acquired heart conditions, from routine cases to the most complex cardiac disorders.

The Pediatric Heart Institute combines leading-edge research with highly personalized care, offering comprehensive services from prenatal diagnosis through childhood and beyond. The multidisciplinary team includes fetal and pediatric cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiac surgeons, and specialized support staff who are experts in diagnosing and treating conditions including aortic stenosis, atrial fibrillation, atrial septal defects, coarctation of the aorta, complete heart block, complex arrhythmias, and congenital or acquired valve disease.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in establishing the plan of care, coordinate and implement care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum
  • Analyze comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis
  • Utilize the nursing process to evaluate patient progress toward goals and apply appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes
  • Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment
  • Provide patient and family education and continuum of care planning
  • Effectively communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team
  • Collaborate in establishing patient goals and evaluate progress to ensure effective outcomes
  • Further professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to Board of Nursing standards

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • Graduate of an approved nursing program
  • Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience
