Registered Nurse PCU Stepdown

Ascension St. Vincent's Southside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Stepdown. This full-time, day-shift position focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a stepdown setting where patients transition from intensive care to lower acuity levels.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by following established clinical standards and evidence-based protocols
• Develop and implement patient care plans, proactively monitoring patient status and documenting progress to ensure optimal outcomes
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, facilitating seamless communication and well-integrated treatment
• Execute physician and nursing orders with precision, serving as a critical link in the clinical decision-making process
• Lead the discharge planning process in collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure safe and successful patient transitions

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license from the Florida Board of Nursing, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at time of hire
• BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date
