Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Orthopedic Spine Medical Telemetry unit at Skokie Hospital. This per diem night shift position offers the opportunity to provide direct patient care on a specialized orthopedic unit while working flexible hours.

Clinical Setting

You will work on an orthopedic spine medical telemetry unit, providing care to patients requiring cardiac monitoring and orthopedic surgical support. The unit is part of Endeavor Health's integrated healthcare system, which operates eight Magnet-recognized acute care hospitals across northeast Illinois.

Responsibilities

  • Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for patients on the orthopedic spine medical telemetry unit
  • Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient plans of care
  • Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
  • Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
  • Contribute positively to safety outcomes and promote high-quality patient experience

Schedule

  • Per diem night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Rotating weekends required

Required Qualifications

  • Current professional nursing licensure in the State of Illinois
  • Graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN) accredited school of nursing
  • BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider
  • Prior nursing experience or, for new graduate nurses, certified nursing assistant (CNA) experience preferred

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred

Compensation

  • Hourly pay range: $36.00 to $55.80, determined by expertise and years of experience
  • New minimum base pay rate of $37.25 per hour beginning with the second paycheck in October
