Registered Nurse, OR

This is a full-time contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, based in Tahlequah, OK. The role is a 13-week contract with the option to extend. You will provide comprehensive intraoperative nursing care during surgical procedures, working Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive intraoperative nursing care during surgical procedures
• Assess patient status pre-, intra-, and post-operatively and document findings
• Ensure sterile techniques and maintain a safe operating room environment
• Maintain accurate documentation for compliance, billing, and audit readiness
• Collaborate with surgeons and teams to anticipate equipment needs and troubleshoot
• Monitor and manage anesthesia equipment and supplies within scope
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to optimize perioperative outcomes
• Demonstrate results-driven performance with clear activity and outcome visibility
• Uphold infection prevention protocols and participate in patient safety initiatives
• Educate patients and families about perioperative care and recovery expectations
• Assist in the development and execution of professional development plans

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• Perioperative nursing experience

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Full-time, 13-week contract with option to extend
• In-office position in Tahlequah, OK
