Registered Nurse OR Circulator Ambulatory Surgery Center Kerrville

This per diem position offers the opportunity to work as a Registered Nurse OR Circulator in an ambulatory surgery center setting in Kerrville. You will provide routine and complex nursing care to surgical patients, practicing independently while demonstrating awareness of all relevant clinical aspects. The role requires the ability to focus on long-range goals and plans, manage contingencies, and make appropriate assignments and delegations to other care providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with your level of practice
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess patient learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and resources
• Meet expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
• Practice consistently with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment or compact
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in nursing
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty
