Mercyhealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to provide compassionate nursing care in a clinical setting while supporting the organization's nursing mission and values. This position involves variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call hours, with the possibility of floating to different units based on staffing needs and clinical competency.

Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state practice act
- Perform patient assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physician and clinic policy, including patient and family instruction
- Document care according to standards of care
- Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities and shared governance
- Utilize clinical expertise to guide other units and departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care
- Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately through the chain of command
- Participate in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities and decisions, and peer review process
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required upon hire
- Active RN license in state of practice
- CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
- May require specific years of applicable experience per department guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Certifications
- ACLS, PALS, PEARS, and NRP certifications may be required per unit requirements
- Color blind test may be required per department guidelines
Compensation
- Pay range: $34.45 - $60.87 per hour
