The opportunity

Job Description

Join MetroHealth's Main Campus Operating Room as a Registered Nurse. This position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art Level One Trauma Center performing a variety of procedural cases ranging from elective to emergency and trauma surgeries. You will work across 20 operating room suites that perform 40-50 surgical cases daily, collaborating with surgical technicians, anesthesia staff, and surgeons in a team-based nursing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform circulating and scrubbing duties
  • Provide nursing care across a variety of surgical cases
  • Work collaboratively with the surgical team

Clinical Setting

MetroHealth Main Campus is a Level One Trauma Center recognized in the top 10% for first case on-time starts among Epic users.

Schedule

  • Bi-weekly hours: 80.00
  • Rotating shifts with rotating weekends and rotating holidays

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification, or obtained within 90 days of hire
  • One year of relevant RN experience (for PRN positions)
  • All required certifications must be possessed upon hire (for PRN positions)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Professional certification recognized by the Magnet Association
