Registered Nurse-Operating Room-Per Diem Variable Shift

Southern Illinois Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room on a per diem, variable shift basis. In this role, you will provide professional nursing care to patients in the operating room setting, working collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs
• Establish a compassionate environment to provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Provide health teaching and counseling to promote, attain, and maintain optimum patient health levels
• Demonstrate clinical judgment and critical thinking to recognize, act upon, and report changes in patient condition
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records
• Provide input into the development of policies and procedures to support patient safety and quality of care
• Supervise and delegate responsibilities to licensed practical nurses and/or unlicensed assistant personnel as appropriate
• Serve as an advocate for patients by communicating and collaborating with other healthcare professionals
• Float to other SIH nursing units within your competency level
• Complete required education, competencies, and licensure in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR/BLS card
• Current ACLS card (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• Associate, Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree in Nursing

Schedule

• Per diem position with variable shifts

Compensation

• $31.25 to $49.06 per hour, commensurate with experience
