We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Operating Room to provide direct patient care in a clinical inpatient setting. In this role, you will perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient responses to interventions, and administer treatments and medications. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care and contribute to evidence-based practice decisions and unit-based safety initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Implement nursing interventions and monitor patient responses
- Administer treatments and medications according to established protocols
- Assist with diagnostic procedures
- Provide patient and family education
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust care plans as needed
- Troubleshoot equipment and ensure proper functioning
- Participate in evidence-based practice decisions
- Contribute to quality and safety initiatives
- Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures
- Promote patient safety and satisfaction through compassionate interactions
- Participate in unit-based decision-making and safety programs
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Nursing
- Active RN license
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Experience in cardiac surgery
- Experience with the Cardiac Heart Team
