Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Full Time - Evening Shift

CoxHealth South is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to provide comprehensive surgical patient care. As a perioperative nurse, you will assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients before, during, and after surgery across all age groups, from neonates to elderly patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized surgical care plans
• Create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient education
• Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout the surgical care continuum
• Integrate and coordinate patient care with the surgical team
• Promote teamwork and communication with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, and interdisciplinary team members

Clinical Setting

CoxHealth South Operating Room South is located at 3801 S National Ave, Springfield, Missouri. CoxHealth is a leading healthcare system serving 25 counties across southwest Missouri and northern Arkansas, operating six hospitals, five emergency departments, and over 80 clinics.

Schedule

• Full-time position, 40 hours per week
• Evening shift: 10:40 AM - 9:10 PM

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active RN license in Missouri
• BLS certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Previous nursing experience
