Seattle Children's is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room on a 0.6 FTE night shift position. This role involves providing safe, family-centered patient care in a pediatric surgical setting. You will work as an integral member of the health care team, collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality care.
Schedule
- 0.6 FTE position
- Night shift with 8:30 PM start time
- Two 12-hour shifts per schedule
- Relocation assistance is offered
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Care Process
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting
- Collaborate with patients, families, and health care team members
- May supervise and delegate tasks to Nurse Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and others as defined by State Administrative Code
- Support Seattle Children's strategic goals including Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI), Value Based Behaviors, Error Prevention, and Patient Safety initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Washington State RN License or other current state license required for the work location
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers at time of hire, unless possessing current PEARS or PALS certification
- PALS certification required within 3 months of employment and must be maintained at all times for Surgery positions
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Pediatric health care nursing experience
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly rate: $51.60 - $91.30 per hour (based on full-time equivalent of 2080 hours per year; actual compensation varies based on FTE, experience, skills, and expertise)
