Registered Nurse Oncology

HCA HealthONE Aurora is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Oncology department. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to oncology patients in collaboration with medical providers and the interdisciplinary care team. You will serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers while following established nursing models and organizational standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers with thorough and timely documentation in the patient's medical record
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in response to unintended medication effects
• Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate patient needs, and resolve them
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology for complete understanding

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Compensation

Hourly wage estimate: $36.68 - $53.52 per hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical wage range of candidates hired. Factors that may determine your actual salary include your specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below the midpoint of the range.
