This on-call Registered Nurse position serves individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) in a community-based or residential setting. You will provide person-centered nursing care with small, manageable caseloads while coordinating medical care, appointments, and follow-up for the individuals you support.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered nursing care with small, manageable caseloads
- Coordinate medical care, appointments, and follow-up for individuals with I/DD
- Oversee medication administration and ensure regulatory compliance
- Advocate for people supported within healthcare and clinical settings
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate health records and nursing documentation
- Support and educate staff on health, safety, and medical best practices
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
- Valid New York State driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in I/DD, residential, or community-based nursing
- Associate degree or higher
