Registered Nurse New Graduate(RN) - Telemetry

As a Registered Nurse in Telemetry at Mission Trail Baptist Hospital, you will provide nursing care for a group of patients assigned based on matching patient needs with your clinical competencies. You will work under minimal supervision and complete established competencies for the position during your introductory period.

Clinical Setting

This position is located in the Telemetry unit, a monitored acute care environment focused on patients requiring cardiac monitoring and observation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to an assigned group of patients
• Match patient care needs with appropriate nursing competencies
• Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
• AHA ACLS certification must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (should be completed before the end of the orientation period)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Two years of acute care experience
• Previous clinical nursing experience in medical/surgical, telemetry, or ICU settings
