Job Description

Intermountain Health is seeking Registered Nurse graduates to join the Vascular and Vein Clinic at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. This position is designed for newly licensed RNs entering the Intermountain Nurse Residency program.

As a Nursing Graduate, you will work under the direct line-of-sight supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse in the clinical setting. You will participate in patient care delivery while orienting to the RN assignment and excluding independent nursing care. This position may include medication administration under the direction and supervision of a licensed RN.

Important Program Requirements

You must be enrolled and have started coursework in the Intermountain Nurse Residency program before providing any direct patient care. This position is available for up to 12 weeks while you prepare for, take, and pass the State Board examination to obtain your RN license. After the 12-week period, or if you fail the State Board exam a second time, you will no longer be able to remain in the Nursing Graduate position. You may then apply for other open positions you qualify for, including positions requiring certifications you currently hold such as CNA. Failure to pass boards or secure another position will result in termination.

  • Report patient responses to treatments and collaborate with the RN regarding necessary modifications to nursing interventions
  • Participate in patient and family education under RN supervision as determined by assessments, diagnosis, learning readiness, and patient requests
  • Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for patient care delivery within your defined role, routinely observing and discussing all aspects of care with the RN
  • Practice legally and ethically as a Nursing Resident under RN supervision, comply with regulatory standards, maintain accurate documentation, and preserve confidentiality
  • Achieve RN licensure in a timely manner per Intermountain Health standards and complete all orientation, training, and Nursing Residency program requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers
