Intermountain Health is seeking Registered Nurse graduates for a full-time position in the Med/Surg Surgical Inpatient Unit at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. This is a structured entry-level role designed for newly licensed RNs or RN candidates enrolled in the Intermountain Nurse Residency program.
As a Nursing Graduate, you will work under the direct line-of-sight supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse while participating in patient care delivery. You will orient to the RN assignment and may participate in medication administration under the direction and supervision of the licensed RN. This position is available for up to 12 weeks while you complete the Intermountain Nurse Residency program and prepare for the State Boards examination to obtain your RN license.

RN graduates must be enrolled and have started coursework in the Intermountain Nurse Residency program before providing any direct patient care. After the initial 12-week period, or if you do not pass the State Board exam on your second attempt, you will no longer be able to remain in the Nursing Graduate position. You may then apply for other open positions you qualify for, including positions requiring certifications you currently hold (such as CNA). Failure to pass boards or secure another position will result in termination.
Note: RNs with more than one year of nursing experience should apply to Experienced RN positions only and are not required to attend the nurse residency program.
