Registered Nurse New Graduate (RN) - Pediatrics

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a new graduate registered nurse to begin your nursing career in pediatrics. You will provide direct nursing care to a group of pediatric patients assigned based on matching patient needs with your clinical competencies. During your introductory period, you will complete established competencies for the position under minimal supervision.

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for assigned pediatric patients
• Match patient needs with appropriate nursing competencies
• Complete established position competencies during the introductory period
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
• AHA PALS certification completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Two years of acute care experience
• Previous clinical nursing experience

Licenses and Certifications

• Texas State License for Registered Nurse (required)
• AHA Healthcare Provider BLS (required on hire; AHA certification required within 60 days)
• AHA PALS (required within 60 days of hire or transfer into pediatrics role)
