Registered Nurse New Graduate (RN) - PCU

Join Mission Trail Baptist Hospital as a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). In this role, you will provide nursing care for a group of patients assigned based on matching patient needs with your clinical competencies. You will work under minimal supervision and complete established competencies for the position during your introductory period.

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Clinical Setting

Mission Trail Baptist Hospital is part of the Baptist Health System, which includes six full-service hospitals, a specialized children's hospital with a dedicated pediatric emergency unit, a comprehensive cancer care network, fitness and rehabilitation centers, a physician network, imaging centers, and ambulatory services.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
• AHA ACLS certification must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (for Adult Critical Care, Telemetry, or Interim Critical Care Units). Should be completed before the end of the orientation period.
• AHA PALS certification must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (for Pediatric ICU). Should be completed before the end of the orientation period.
• AHA NRP certification must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (for NICU)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. for NICU Level 2 Nursery: Must provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit (Renewal is not required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Two years of acute care experience
• Previous clinical nursing experience in medical/surgical, telemetry, or ICU settings
