Registered Nurse New Graduate (RN)-PCU

Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse New Graduate to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. In this role, you will provide nursing care for a group of patients assigned based on matching patient needs with your clinical competencies. You will work under minimal supervision while completing established competencies for the position during your introductory period.

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients in the PCU setting
• Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period
• Perform related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Nurse Permit
• Proficiency with computer software, including electronic patient records
• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
• Additional certifications required depending on department assignment: ACLS/TNCC, PALS/ENPC, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., Fetal Monitoring, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (see applicable Staff RN job description for specific requirements and grace periods)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
