Registered Nurse New Graduate (RN)-PCU

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a new graduate registered nurse to begin your nursing career in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting. You will provide direct nursing care to an assigned group of patients, matching their clinical needs with your developing competencies. During your introductory period, you will complete all established competencies required for the position while working under minimal supervision.

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients in the PCU
• Match patient needs with appropriate nursing interventions based on your competencies
• Complete all required competencies during the introductory period
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Nurse Permit
• Proficiency with computer software, including electronic patient records
• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire

Additional Requirements

• Depending on the specific department, you may be required to obtain additional certifications within designated timeframes: ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., Fetal Monitoring, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. Refer to the applicable Staff RN job description for specific requirements and grace periods for your assigned department.
