  • AHA PALS (within 60 days of hire or transfer for PACU)

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course
  • CNOR Board eligible or certified
  • CPAN Board eligible or certified
  • SGNA Board eligible or certified
The opportunity

Job Description

Westover Hills Baptist Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse New Graduate for the Operating Room. In this role, you will provide professional nursing care for patients ranging from newborn to geriatric under minimal supervision, working within your competencies and following established standards and practices. You will complete established competencies for the position during your introductory period and support the mission, policies, and procedures of the Baptist Health System.

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or currently eligible for state board certification
  • Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (ARC or AHA); must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
  • AHA ACLS certification must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for all Surgical Services areas
  • AHA PALS certification must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course
  • CNOR Board eligible or certified (Surgery)
  • CPAN Board eligible or certified (Post Anesthesia)
  • SGNA Board eligible or certified (GI Lab)
