Join North Central Baptist Hospitals as a Registered Nurse in our OB GYN department. In this role, you will provide nursing care for a group of patients assigned based on matching patient needs with your clinical competencies. You will work under minimal supervision and complete established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period.
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.
Clinical Setting
You will work within our OB GYN specialty, which includes labor and delivery, antepartum, and nursery care areas. North Central Baptist Hospitals is part of the Baptist Health System, which includes six full-service hospitals, a specialized children's hospital with a dedicated pediatric emergency unit, comprehensive cancer care network, and other healthcare services.
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
- Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (ARC or AHA) on hire; must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
- AHA ACLS certification within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (should be completed before the end of the orientation period)
- AHA NRP certification within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for labor and delivery or any nurse floated into L&D (should be completed before the end of the orientation period)
- Fetal Monitoring certification: Novice RNs must complete GNOSIS Introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring within 30 days of hire and AWHONN Intermediate Heart Monitoring within 8 months of L&D orientation. Experienced L&D RNs (more than 1 year experience) must have AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring on hire or within the first 90 days of hire
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Level 2 Nursery certification: provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date (renewal not required)
- AHA PALS certification within 60 days of hire or transfer into role if assigned to pediatrics
Education
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of acute care experience
- Previous clinical nursing experience
