Registered Nurse New Graduate (RN) - OB GYN

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a new graduate registered nurse to begin your career in obstetrics and gynecology. You will provide nursing care for a group of patients assigned based on matching patient needs with your clinical competencies. You will complete established competencies for the position during your introductory period under minimal supervision.

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire

Required Certifications and Training

• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (Labor & Delivery)
• AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (Labor & Delivery or any nurse floated into L&D)
• Fetal Monitoring - L&D and Antepartum: Novice RNs are required to complete GNOSIS Introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring within 30 days from hire date or transfer date into unit and AWHONN Intermediate Heart Monitoring within 8 months of L&D orientation
• S.T.A.B.L.E. Level 2 Nursery: Must provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit (renewal not required)
• AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (Pediatrics)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Two years of acute care experience
• Previous clinical nursing experience
