Registered Nurse New Graduate (RN) - Med Surg

This position provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned based on matching patient needs with nurse competencies. As a new graduate RN, you will work under minimal supervision and complete established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (ARC or AHA) on hire; must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Two years of acute care experience for Med/Surg positions
• Two years of psychiatric facility experience for Behavioral Health positions
• Two years of acute or chronic dialysis experience for Dialysis positions

Specialty-Specific Requirements

Behavioral Health: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into the department.

Dialysis: In addition to Basic Life Support, ACLS (AHA) must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into the unit.

Minimum Experience

• No prior experience required for Med/Surg and Behavioral Health positions
• One year in acute or chronic dialysis required for Dialysis positions
