Registered Nurse New Graduate (RN) - ICU

Saint Luke's Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse New Graduate for our ICU. In this role, you will provide nursing care for a group of patients assigned based on matching patient needs with your competencies. You will work under minimal supervision and complete established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period.

Clinical Setting

• Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Part of Saint Luke's Hospital, a comprehensive healthcare system with six full-service hospitals, a specialized children's hospital, and additional clinical services

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients
• Match patient needs with appropriate nursing competencies
• Complete established position competencies during the introductory period
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
• AHA ACLS certification must be completed within 60 days of hire (should be completed before the end of the orientation period)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Two years of acute care experience
• Previous clinical nursing experience in medical/surgical, telemetry, or ICU settings
