This position offers an excellent opportunity for a new graduate registered nurse to begin your nursing career in a critical care environment. You will provide direct nursing care to a group of patients assigned based on matching patient needs with your clinical competencies. During your introductory period, you will complete all established competencies required for the ICU role under minimal supervision.
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
- Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
- AHA ACLS certification must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (should be completed before the end of the orientation period)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Two years of acute care experience
- Previous clinical nursing experience in medical/surgical, telemetry, or ICU settings
Additional Requirements
- AHA PALS certification must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role if assigned to Pediatric ICU (should be completed before the end of the orientation period)
- AHA NRP certification must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role if assigned to NICU
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Level 2 Nursery certification for NICU positions: must provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date (renewal not required)
