Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring newly graduated Registered Nurses for a comprehensive Nurse Residency Program designed to support your transition from nursing school to professional practice. This program is available across all units and shifts at the hospital, a 145-bed Certified Primary Stroke Center with Magnet recognition that offers advanced imaging, smart operating rooms, and comprehensive medical services including emergency care, cardiac catheterization, and obstetrics.
The Nurse Residency Program provides newly hired graduate nurses with structured support and hands-on experience. After completing your orientation, you will begin a 6-month residency working alongside trained preceptors. During this time, you will rotate through six clinical areas: Medical-Surgical, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, Emergency, Operating Room, and Women's Health. The program also includes education on career pathing, professional development, leadership, self-care, and stress management.
Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is a modern medical center featuring the latest healthcare technologies. The hospital provides a full range of services including emergency care, cardiac catheterization, advanced imaging, obstetrics care, and specialized operating rooms.
Multiple shifts are available.
The base pay range for full-time employment is $36.00 per hour. Additional compensation may be available, including shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. All new-to-practice RNs receive a sign-on bonus.
