Registered Nurse New Graduate Fast-Track Application/Nurse Residency Program – Sentara Princess Anne Hospital

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is hiring newly graduated Registered Nurses for a structured Nurse Residency Program. This position supports new graduate RNs with less than 12 months of experience across all units and shifts at this 174-bed acute care hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is a recognized Magnet hospital specializing in orthopedic and spine care, heart and vascular services, advanced imaging, gynecological care, comprehensive breast care, and family maternity with a state-of-the-art neonatal intensive care unit. The hospital also houses Virginia's only Ornish Lifestyle Medicine program and is an accredited Primary Stroke Center.

Nurse Residency Program

All newly hired graduate nurses are automatically enrolled in this comprehensive six-month residency program designed to support your transition from nursing school to professional practice. The program includes:

• Hands-on clinical experience alongside trained preceptors
• Rotation through six clinical areas: Medical-Surgical, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, Emergency, Operating Room, and Women's Health
• Topics covering career pathing, professional development, leadership, self-care, and stress management
• No separate application or application deadlines
• Available immediately after orientation
• Access to support across all 12 Sentara hospitals

Schedule

• Multiple shifts available
• All statuses and shifts

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Current Virginia RN license or eligibility to obtain one
• Graduating soon or graduated with less than one year of RN practice

Compensation

• Base pay: $36.00 hourly
• Sign-on bonus for all new-to-practice RNs
• Additional compensation may be available including shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities
• Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs
