Registered Nurse - MG4 Telemetry - Days

St. Mary Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the MG4 Telemetry unit, a 47-bed medical and observation unit providing care to telemetry-monitored patients. This full-time position offers a 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM) with every third weekend required. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient learning needs, readiness to learn, and barriers to learning; incorporate patient education into daily activities based on age, cultural, and spiritual values
• Document admission assessments and reassessments, care plans, interventions, and medication use; monitor effects and outcomes according to policy
• Utilize the information management system to enhance communication and document changes in patient condition to appropriate individuals
• Prioritize work assignments based on changing situations
• Communicate transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during interprofessional rounds
• Recognize and integrate patient special needs; individualize care and demonstrate knowledge in abuse recognition and referral
• Include pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care
• Adhere to infection control standards and promote and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
• Active Pennsylvania RN license
• AHA BLS certification

Schedule

• Full-time employment
