Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. In this role, you will provide routine and complex patient care, demonstrating clinical competence and the ability to manage contingencies in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will work independently while maintaining awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations, make appropriate care assignments, and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical demands effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with your level of practice
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide education; identify issues and available resources
• Meet expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
• Comply with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or compact
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
• One year of experience in medical/surgical nursing or related specialty

• Full-time position
• 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts
