Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Manager for the Operating Room at West Hospital. This leadership position assumes 24-hour responsibility for supervising and coordinating administrative and operational activities in the OR. You will collaborate with ancillary and interdisciplinary teams to develop goals and objectives based on clinical data analysis, improve patient outcomes, and create a culture of excellence while achieving targeted KPIs and identified outcomes at the unit level.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily operational oversight, management, and clinical support to the healthcare team
- Serve as a professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource
- Foster an environment where interdisciplinary team members contribute to optimal patient outcomes and grow professionally
- Model core cultural and safety behaviors to eliminate preventable harm and implement high reliability principles

Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Day shift
- 24-hour responsibility for assigned areas
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current RN license in the state where working or covered by compact
- Minimum 3 years of professional nursing experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing or Master in Health Administration or related field
- 1 year of experience in the appropriate specialty area (Operating Room)
- Prior management or supervisory experience
- BLS Basic Life Support certification (must obtain prior to entering patient care setting)
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- TNCC Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum
- ENPC Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course
- NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program
- National Board Certification in specialty
- Nurse Executive Certification or designated specialty certification
