Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse - Part Time

Join the Missouri Veterans Home as a Part-Time Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, serving the state's military veterans in a long-term care setting. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans while working flexible part-time hours.

Clinical Setting

You will work at a Missouri Veterans Home providing nursing care to veterans in a residential long-term care environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, organize, and plan staff duties on assigned shift and unit
• Assess veteran needs and ensure services are consistent with identified needs
• Implement veteran MDS assessments and care plans according to healthcare protocol
• Make rounds with the physician, report patient status, and receive care and treatment instructions
• Transcribe and implement physician orders accurately
• Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and evaluations in the electronic medical record
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician with appropriate follow-up observations
• Assist veterans with activities of daily living including transferring, positioning, transporting, feeding, elimination, toileting, bathing, and showering
• Assist veterans during admission and discharge processes
• Participate in orientation of unit staff

Required Qualifications

• Active Missouri licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing, OR
• Recent graduate of an accredited nursing program who may practice as a graduate nurse until first licensure examination results are received or until 90 days after graduation, whichever occurs first, as allowed by the Missouri Board of Nursing

Compensation

LPN Hourly Pay:

• Day shift: $29.30 - $31.28 per hour
• Evening and night shift: $31.30 - $33.28 per hour
• Weekend shift differential: Additional $1.50 per hour
• Pay commensurate with experience

RN Hourly Pay:

• Day shift: $38.92 - $41.80 per hour
• Evening and night shift: $42.42 - $45.56 per hour
• Pay commensurate with experience

Schedule

This is a part-time position with availability for day, evening, and night shifts. Weekend shift differential pay is available.
