IU Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) unit at IU Saxony. This full-time night shift position requires one year of Labor & Delivery experience and offers a sign-on bonus dependent upon FTE.
Clinical Setting
IU Saxony Labor and Delivery is a Level 2 LDRP facility with 4 OB ED beds, 12 LDRP rooms, and 2 OR suites. The unit cares for some high-risk obstetric patients and maintains an anesthesiologist and OB provider on-site 24/7. You will support patients throughout their pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum period.
Responsibilities
- Circulate in OB procedures in the OB OR
- Perform triage of OB patients
- Manage each phase of the pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum process
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
Unit Culture and Recognition
The unit features a high level of autonomy, multiple committees available for involvement and growth, and highly collaborative relationships with physicians. IU Saxony holds AIM/Inspire Designation, Anthem Blue Distinction, and Level 2 care recognition.
Required Qualifications
- One year of Labor & Delivery experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
- Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit specialty
Note: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience, subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer.
