Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PRN position in Interventional Radiology. This role supports both outpatient and inpatient patients requiring interventional radiologic procedures. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Radiology & IR Departments, located in the hospital basement. The department serves patients ranging from infants to adults.
The nursing team in IR has two primary functions: some nurses prepare and recover patients following procedures, while others work directly in the procedure rooms assisting interventional radiologists and supporting clinical staff. Some assignments may include cases scheduled at MD Anderson for radiologic procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process and therapeutic use of self
- Prepare patients for interventional radiologic procedures
- Recover patients following procedures
- Assist interventional radiologists and clinical staff in procedure rooms
- Supervise and provide care to assigned patients for designated time frames
- Follow established policies and procedures
- Communicate openly with internal customers, supervisors, and clinical team members
- Provide excellent customer service across all levels of staff, management, and physicians
- Apply Cooper core values in daily practice
- Perform other duties as required
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of Critical Care experience
- Graduate of NLN-accredited School of Nursing
- Current New Jersey RN License (Registered Nurse) upon hire
- Current New Jersey BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) upon hire
- Current ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) upon hire
- Current PALS Certification (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 3 months of employment
Schedule
- Three 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts per six-week period
- On-call rotation required
- IR Lab operates Monday through Friday
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly rate: $48.72 - $73.64
