We are seeking a part-time, weekend Registered Nurse for the Outpatient Infusion Clinic. In this fast-paced setting, you will provide quality nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, educating, and evaluating age-appropriate care. You will incorporate family-centered care principles and support patients in end-of-life situations.

Responsibilities
- Use evidence-based assessment and complex interviewing techniques to collect pertinent patient, family, and population-specific data in an ambulatory care setting
- Collect subjective and objective health status data from multiple sources including patients, caregivers, healthcare team members, and medical records
- Prioritize data collection activities based on the patient's immediate health needs and anticipated needs
- Synthesize available data and nursing knowledge to identify patterns and variances
- Document collected information in a retrievable, understandable, and readable format
- Develop and continuously update individualized care plans for patients seeking health promotion, maintenance, or addressing health-related problems
- Prioritize interventions and implement care plans promptly with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
- Organize and delegate appropriate interventions to care team members based on demonstrated competency, state practice acts, evidence-based guidelines, and organizational policies
- Educate patients, families, and community members; orient them to the healthcare delivery system, services, and available resources
- Conduct systematic, ongoing, criterion-based evaluation of nursing care outcomes
- Demonstrate positive and effective interpersonal skills with patients, families, visitors, peers, and healthcare team members
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous lifelong learning and identify opportunities for improving safety and quality of care
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, OR Associate degree in Nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement, OR Technical diploma in Nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement, OR current enrollment in a nursing bridge program working toward an MSN with verified BSN-equivalency or signed agreement
- One year of professional nursing experience
- Active RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Licensure Compact
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in an infusion setting
Additional Requirements
- All successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
