Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Clinic. In this role, you will apply the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to establish patient goals, evaluate progress toward those goals, and ensure effective outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to develop your clinical expertise while providing specialized care to patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
Clinical Setting
You will work within the IBD Clinical Staff at Vanderbilt Health, part of the region's largest comprehensive academic health system with eight hospitals and over 180 clinics.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in establishing the plan of care, coordinate and implement care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum
- Analyze comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis
- Continually utilize the nursing process to evaluate patient progress toward goals and apply appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes
- Employ strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment
- Effectively communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team
- Provide patient and family education
- Participate in continuum of care planning
- Engage in learning activities according to Board of Nursing standards to further professional growth
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Graduate of an approved discipline-specific nursing program
- Minimum one year of relevant nursing work experience
