Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two years of acute care experience
  • Previous clinical nursing experience

This position provides nursing care for obstetric and education patients on the night shift. Working under minimal supervision, you will care for a group of patients assigned based on matching their clinical needs with your nursing competencies. You will be expected to complete all established competencies for the position during your introductory period.

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
  • Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support certification on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
  • AHA ACLS certification within 60 days of hire or transfer into role
  • AHA NRP certification within 60 days of hire or transfer into role
  • Fetal Monitoring certification: Novice RNs must complete GNOSIS Introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring within 30 days of hire and AWHONN Intermediate Heart Monitoring within 8 months of orientation. Experienced L&D RNs (more than 1 year experience) must have AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring on hire or within the first 90 days of hire
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. Level 2 Nursery certification: provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date (renewal not required)
  • AHA PALS certification within 60 days of hire or transfer into role
