Registered Nurse II - Operating Room

Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in Saint Petersburg, Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse II for the Operating Room. This position supports a 259-bed teaching hospital and regional pediatric referral center serving infants, children, and teens with complex medical conditions. The OR features 10 fully equipped surgical rooms and 2 special procedure rooms serving patients of all acuity levels. Primary surgical specialties include ENT, Urology, and Orthopedics, with additional cases in general surgery, plastics, GI, neurosurgery, dental, and ophthalmology.

Schedule

• Full-time position, 40 hours per week
• Rotating shift schedule including call shifts, weekends, and holidays
• On-call requirement: must be able to arrive within 30 minutes

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Florida State or Compact License required
• Minimum 6 months of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse
• BLS certification provided by AHA

Education

• BSN from an accredited School of Nursing preferred. Applicants with an Associate Degree in Nursing will be considered and must obtain a BSN within 36 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of nursing experience
• Previous OR experience in pediatrics or adult settings
