Registered Nurse II - Days, Full Time
Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, a Level 3 Trauma Center in Houston, is seeking a Registered Nurse II for the Express Admission Unit on a full-time day schedule. In this role, you will provide direct patient care and clinical management in a fast-paced acute care setting serving Harris County's diverse patient population.
As a Nurse Clinician II, you will independently and safely manage patients with common problems in your assigned clinical area, apply professional nursing standards and clinical algorithms to patient situations, and recognize when additional resources or assistance are needed. You will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver quality care.

Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital is part of Harris Health, the public healthcare safety-net provider for Harris County. The hospital operates as a Level 3 Trauma Center and serves a diverse patient population with a focus on acute and primary care.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited school
- One year of full-time RN experience or completion of a Graduate Nurse (GN) Program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross approved program
- Additional unit or service-specific certifications as required
- Above average verbal communication skills with heavy public contact
- Proficiency with personal computers
- Knowledge of mathematics and medical terminology

Compensation
- $41.82 - $52.55 per hour
