The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a Registered Nurse I (New Graduate) for the Neurosciences ICU. Under general supervision, you will provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care to patients and families at the advanced beginner level, utilizing principles and practices of the nursing process and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve desired outcomes.
Clinical Setting
You will work in the Neurosciences ICU (NSICU), a specialized intensive care unit at Medical University Hospital.
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
- Rotating shifts including some weekends
- Ability to work overtime as required
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license from the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred unless you are a current MUSC employee
- If hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing, you must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of hire or reclassification date
