Intermediate Care nurses manage highly specialized patients with arterial lines and advanced drips. You will have continuous opportunities to learn and refine your practice across multiple patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes
  • Manage patients in both Intermediate/Stepdown and Acute Care settings

Education

  • Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred unless you are a current MUSC employee
  • If hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing, you are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of hire or reclassification date

Certifications and Training

All nurses become ACLS certified and trained in peritoneal dialysis within the first six months, building a strong clinical foundation that opens doors across the organization.
