Ho'ōla Lāhui Hawai'i, a Federally Qualified Health Center and non-profit community health organization serving Kaua'i, is seeking a full-time Mobile Clinic RN for our Kapa'a mobile medical clinic. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the Kaua'i community while advancing your nursing career.
You will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, providing clinical care to patients in a mobile clinic setting. This role requires strong clinical competence, professionalism, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality while working collaboratively with patients, families, staff members, and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Triage patients based on complaints, vital signs, and clinical presentation
- Administer vaccinations and subcutaneous or intramuscular medications
- Receive and implement physician orders as appropriate for established patients in office or non-office visits that do not require physician presence but require physician sign-off
- Provide patient education and training for self-management using standardized curriculum in one-to-one settings
- Maintain safe and therapeutic environments for patient care
- Ensure legible, complete, and timely documentation and charting
- Provide coverage when needed
- Supervise Clinical Specialist I/II, receptionist/front desk personnel, and medical records staff when directed by the Director of Nursing
- Identify and offer positive input to improve patient flow and operational matters
- Maintain familiarity with OSHA and Infectious Disease protocols
Required Qualifications
- RN degree
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Tuberculosis clearance
- Strong supervisory skills in a healthcare setting, preferably clinic setting
- Good understanding of medical terminology and healthcare field experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and tactfully with others
- Legible, complete, and timely documentation and charting skills
- Ability to problem-solve, set priorities, and work with multiple distractions and interruptions
- Strong clinical competence and professionalism
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work with a wide variety of providers, patients, and staff
- Cultural sensitivity to Hawaii's many cultures

- Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR
