Vierra Falls Church is seeking Registered Nurses to join our skilled nursing facility team. This is a full-time position providing direct patient care and nursing leadership in a long-term care setting. You will work with a close-knit, supportive team committed to delivering compassionate, excellent care to our residents.
Clinical Setting
Vierra Falls Church is a family-owned skilled nursing and rehabilitation community. This role involves managing the daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants while providing direct resident care.
Schedule
Full-time, part-time, and PRN shift options are available:
- 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Shift differentials are provided. This is a non-exempt, essential personnel position.
Responsibilities
- Direct the daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies
- Assess residents for changes in status and notify physicians, families, and representatives accordingly
- Transcribe physician orders and carry out orders as written
- Prepare and administer medications per physician orders and monitor for adverse effects
- Perform wound treatments, colostomy changes, tube feedings, suctioning, and IV administration as ordered
- Provide direct nursing care and perform rounds to ensure resident needs are met
- Initiate, review, and update care plans as required
- Participate in admission, discharge, and transfer processes
- Schedule follow-up appointments and arrange transportation as needed
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic resident care
- Participate in management team meetings regarding census, resident status changes, and concerns
- Assist in evaluating nursing personnel performance and implementing discipline as directed
- Report incidents, unusual occurrences, and complaints to appropriate management
- Participate in end-of-life care as required
- Ensure adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment
- Promote teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication
- Follow infection control principles and help correct deficiencies
- Participate in survey processes and QAPI activities as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in your practicing state
- Current CPR certification
- Must pass a criminal background check

- Prior experience in long-term care
