HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Float Pool Emergency Services. In this role, you will work across multiple clinical areas, providing direct patient care in a collaborative acute care hospital environment. You will serve as a patient and family advocate while making nursing assessments, developing care plans, and delivering evidence-based care with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Clinical Setting
HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is a 523-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center serving North Central Florida for over 49 years. The hospital offers comprehensive cardiovascular care, oncology, orthopedics, neurosciences, minimally-invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, weight loss surgery, women's health, and wound therapy services. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission and certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, with an Accredited Chest Pain Center designation and Blue Distinction Center status for spine and bariatric surgery.
Responsibilities
- Serve as patient and family advocate, protecting privacy and confidentiality
- Facilitate patient care by making nursing assessments and diagnoses
- Provide plan-based care with commitment to continuous improvement
- Float between multiple clinical areas across the nursing spectrum
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license (compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation)
- BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start date
- Two years of recent bedside nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Current ACLS certification (required within 6 months of hire)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
