Registered Nurse First Assist Senior - Orthopedic Surgery

This position is a Registered Nurse First Assist Senior in Orthopedic Surgery. You will render direct patient care in the preoperative setting, functioning as first assistant to the surgeon. This expanded preoperative nursing role requires specialized knowledge and skills acquired through organized instruction and supervised practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon as first assistant during orthopedic surgical procedures
• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate patient care activities
• Interpret diagnostic studies
• Promote positive health behaviors and skills through patient education and counseling
• Provide preoperative nursing care

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Active RN license in state of employment or compact
• BLS certification

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Full-time position
