Registered Nurse Fellowship ICU

Ascension Providence in Waco, TX is seeking Registered Nurses for a Fellowship program in the ICU. This program is specifically designed for nurses with more than one year of experience who are seeking to transition into critical care nursing.

This is a full-time position working the night shift. Start dates are available January 19, 2027 and February 15, 2027.

Clinical Setting

You will work in the ICU, providing care to critically ill patients under the guidance of a registered nurse preceptor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care including observation and documentation of patient healthcare needs
• Communicate pertinent patient information to the registered nurse and interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Assist with documentation and implementation of physician and nursing orders under the direction of the registered nurse preceptor
• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Communicate, monitor, and record changes in patient condition as appropriate
• Participate in transition to practice programs to develop clinical thinking and enhanced clinical judgment
• Provide safe, competent, person-centered care

Required Qualifications

• More than one year of nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse license from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire
